Security & privacy

Understand how your workspace is protected.

Clear information about access, notarization records, and the questions to ask before sharing a sensitive document.

Access follows the participant

The notarization workspace requires a signed-in, active account. Document requests are checked against the organization, session owner, and assigned notary. A link to a workspace does not, by itself, give someone access to its files.

Private document handling

Notarization documents and recordings use private storage. Downloads pass through account and session access checks. Share invitations only with intended participants, and keep your own account credentials private.

The notary controls their signing key

In the supported notarization workflow, the notary reviews the prepared document and signs in their browser. The private certificate file and its password are not uploaded by that workflow. Certificate and commission checks are required before sealing.

Ask about your requirements

If your organization needs a security review, a particular retention period, or a specific document format, contact us before submitting documents. These workflow descriptions are not an independent security audit or certification.
